I'm not usually one for using anything in a jar, tin or bottle. I like to make and cook almost everything from scratch. Schwartz Jamaican Jerk Seasoning is an exception though. This stuff is fantastic, so I thought I would share with you some of the uses I've found for it.
First and foremost it does make a damn good marinade when mixed with a little oil and rubbed into chicken, pork, or even beef. Either that or you can use it dry if you're a little more health concious than me when it comes to cooking food.
Second, try sprinkling some of it over chips before you put them in the oven. Maybe add a pinch or 2 of garlic salt as well. Nice flavoursome chips at the end of it :)
Thirdly, stir in a teaspoon to some baked beans before you start to cook them to get some thing different. It makes the beans really nice. Yum.
Finally, try using some of this in the mix of spices that I use for my Spicy beans that you should find somewhere else on the site.
So there you go. A fine tasty mix of spices in a jar and it has now become a firm favourite and a staple in my cupboard. This is one that I would recommend that you try out, and if you come up with another use for it then post it here and let us know.
