The world is about to change, the Mayan calendar has five scant years left till Quetzamangea returns to devour it and times are changing fast! As the world starts to spin slowly out of control, a small band of Scions are all that stand between the destruction of the planet by enraged Titans and salvation. In an epic quest that will take them from America to Europe and beyond in the hopes of finding a key to an ancient puzzle set down by their fathers and mothers centuries ago to save humanity from destruction and release trapped gods of old.
End of Times is a Scion adventure for 4-8 gamers and is suggested for mature gamers only due to its nature. Taking place from October 9th 2007!
Tuesday evenings here at Black Lion are given over to roleplaying, with everything from Aces and Eights to Vampire and much, much more. Come on down all are welcome :)
Lets all hail the upcoming triumph of Set! Yes, lets praise the might of a god who, in a fit of pique, offed his brother because he'd married the hottie. Let's strive forwards to bring this....
no...
wait a minute...
if he stabs his brother to death, seals him in a coffin and throws him in the Nile to rot because he married the hottie, what in the name of Shaft almighty is he gonna do to you if you don't serve him properly...
Frankly I'll give it a go with an Aztec god, you know the ones with all the Q's and Z's in their name. At least you KNOW you're gonna get skinned alive before you start ;)

I am your gaming god, in my temple of Geek.
The setup is intriguing and the mix of characters is sound, and the Scion system is nice and straightforward. Fun shall by had, by Odin!

... Yeah, well, there is that
right enough:.(
But still, the evil guys are always the
coolest:.)
Pfft. Set's head looks like an aardvark's. :P
Hi,
It seems that some of you didn't get my messages, and turned up yesterday to play. I dont have everyones email or mobile number but did try my best to pass on the message that last nights session was cancelled as it was my son Daniel's 15th birthday and we went out for a family meal.
But rest assured that next Tuesday (October 23rd) will see the return of Scion.
Btw if anyone has yet to send me their character history and background can you please do so as soon as possible thanks, you can mail them to me at
Cheers
Marc
Yes I agree with you there, it does look very much like an Aardvark. Last time I was in a zoo I tried to get a decent pic of one of them to show this resemblance, but the darling creatures were all snoring away with their heads tucked away. When I went back to see if there was any movement one of them suddenly stuck his head up while he scratched an itch and there he was in all his Set lookalike glory! ;-) However by the time I got my very out of date camera in the mood to take a pic he was back to snoring (with his head down) again!! Damn!
As it says here:
http://www.egyptianmyths.net/seth.htm
"Seth was never a completely evil figure though. He protected the sun barge of Re, his benefactor during the struggles with Horus, during its nightly journey through the underworld and he fights the snake-like monster Apep. Also, for a short time during the 19th Dynasty respect grew for Seth as he was seen as a god who restrained the forces of the desert. Many pharaohs at this time took Seth's name as a part of their own, with names such at "Seti"."
As for the 19th Dynasty, the family may have originated from a Lower Egyptian town with Set connections, commonly called Avaris. The name Seti was used a number of times in the family and one of the most famous sons of the family, Ramesses II seems to have had red hair. They were originally a non royal military family too and carried on fighting when they got the throne. So there you have a butt kicking, possibly red haired family with a thing for Set...could there be a cooler royal family than that?
OK I'll stop boring you with the Egyptology stuff now! ;-) Besides my Egyptology Lecturers would probably skin me alive for trying to make Pharaohs sound cool instead of dull and dead! ;-)

Hi Marc,
Just thought I would post a wee message here in case you didn't/don't get my email. I won't be able to attend this Tuesday due to work commitments, but I'll see you all the week after.
Best,
Raf
