Summer Gaming in Edinburgh

Not sure how to spend your summer evening while the festival is on? Fed up of watching second rate comedians and drinking over-priced beer? Well check out this list of gaming events still taking place depsite the pesky festival stealing nearly all our venues!

Magic 12+
Monday Nights are Gateway Magic at Black Lion Games. Bring along a constructed deck of your own and then open play from 6 till 9pm with special cards when you collect enough points. Occasional tournaments, check the Black Lion website for details.

Lord of the Rings TCG
Monday nights at Black Lion from 6pm. Mostly bring a deck and play but occasional booster drafts.

Black Lion Roleplaying Nights
Tuesdays from 6:30pm at the shop. Campaigns will run for a few weeks before changing to another system. We're starting off with Aces and Eights. You can turn up on the night to play or sign up with us in the shop beforehand. If we get too many people we'll have another game run alongside.

Edinburgh League of Gamers (18+)
Historical and war gaming as well as board games and collectables
Wednesdays 6-11pm at the RAF Club,11 Hillside Crescent £2 entry or £1 to members

Historical and war gaming club meets in Warriston
Thursday nights 7-11pm

Dreamblade
Friday night at Black Lion Games. DCI sanctioned Edge tournaments from 7pm, £3 entry. Occasional theme nights.

Warmachine
Saturday afternoons from 12 at Black Lion Games. Open play, best time to get a game is at 12 noon or 3pm.

ORC - Open Roleplaying Club
Open and friendly to both new and younger players. Meet in Café Nero, George Street, Saturdays at 12:30ish. Then on to The Three Tuns on Hanover Street (www.threetunsedinburgh.co.uk/) to play. www.orcedinburgh.co.uk also has details for what games are usually running each week.
