An end of an era

What can I say. Much like many companies who outsorced their call centres to India, the NHS after-service support is appalling. My time in hospital was, in general, very good. The nurses who I've seen since then have all been great too. The secondary "sales" shall we say is poor. After struggling on and fighting for so long to get my appointment brought forward from late August and then early September I got a new one for June. Woot! Oh, yeah, except that I then got a letter telling me that my appointment has had to be moved again and I now can't see anyone at the hospital until October.

So I have now officially given up. I have (or more acurately had) a relatively small window of opportunity as far as getting the time off work and arranging the cover to have the secondary surgery. That window is now rapidly closing and by October its not going to happen so they're just going to have to deal with that. I'm not going to take any more shit from them and as far as I'm concerned now they can work to my schedule or sod off.

Its not as if the surgery is essential anyway.

So for now I guess this column is pretty much closed for business. Though if things go pear shaped again I may just have to come back and start posting.

Thanks to everyone who's followed this thread and to those who have posted and passed on messages too. Thanks.
