This new 60-miniature set introduces the Anvilborn, no-aspect creatures that work in any warband and introduce a number of new mechanics, including Drive, an ability that automatically moves minis during the spawn phase—whether you want them to or not.
We'll be playing limited format at this event which means each player takes two boosters (so cost is £20) and creates a 12 piece warband out of them. This combined with the refresh rule (which allows you at the start of one of your spawn phases to put what is in your graveyard into your reserves again) makes an interesting type of game. It'll be everyone's first time seeing the pieces which is always fun.
We'll be playing this on Sunday 29th April. Start time is 11am with play to begin at 12noon (as always). Where is a trickier question, if I get more than 12 people sign up quickly enough I'll try and get a bigger venue (somewhere like the Vicky Park), if I don't I will just hold it in the shop. So please do sign up if you know you want to come. So far I have 6 slots filled:
Me
George
Gary
Thor
Wayne
John
Post on the forums, call us or drop into the shop if you'd like to preregister.
Ok that puts us on 8 people. Any more for any more?
Ok we are now up to 11 players (Alastair, Chris and Ed) and I'm going to change the start time to allow one of them to make it.
Shop will be open from 12 noon and play will start at 1pm. That still alright for everyone?
Lucy
Right then. In a shock move we are now up to 13 players - Andy and Kristi have jumped on board too. So we can only take one more person max - the shop just isn't big enough. Guess I'd better clear that table in the basement then!

Change of start time is great for me as I'm taking my Daughter for her first swimming lesson at the Commonwealth Pool between 10:30 and 11:30 so the 12:00 start was going to be a bit tight for me.
Apologies in advance for smelling of chlorine during the tournament.
See you all there,

Thank go to Lucy for organising and running the Tournament. Everyone enjoyed their day (even my incessant moaning wasn’t enough to dull their enthusiasm) and will be looking forward to playing with their new miniatures.
Congratulations to the top four who walked away with the prizes.
