An In-between update from Shevy

Liam checked in yesterday (eventually), and managed to get all of nothing done that day, since it was so late. Well, actually, he had blood samples and a late night X-ray taken, so it wasn't all wasted.

Today he says he hates hospital wards because he can never sleep in them, and to be honest, its no wonder. One of the other patients has chronic back pain, but for medical reasons can't be given pain killers stringer than paracetamol. As a result, he spent all night groaning in agony. Nice guy though, he apologised the next day, but it didn't help Liam sleep.

Big news is that he's probably going under the knife Thursday, so it'll all be out of the way soon. Surgeon seemed nice about the whole thing too. At present (literally as I speak) Liam's getting blood pumped into his arm to help with his slight anemia, which is pretty low stress. He's got his laptop, phone (which is mostly not on, so texts only please) and mp3 player, so basically he's doing fine.
