So, what formats are people interested in playing?
Limited Play:
Limited formats are great for new games, since having more cards in your collection doesn't give you a competitive advantage.
- Sealed Deck (£10 per player)
1 Starter Deck per player. Either add or save the two boosters.
- Sealed Pack (£18 per player)
6 Boosters. build a deck.
- Draft (£12 per player)
4 Boosters. Draft. Build a deck.
Constructed Play:
Constructed formats are often where competitive play is at. Deckbuilding skills come into play, and more complicated strategies become viable.
- Constructed (Entry depends on prize support)
Normal deck construction rules.
- Lazy Peon (Ditto)
No rares. No epics.
What do folks think?

Three Tuns worked out well as a venue for the tournaments last weekend.
I'm up for any tournament style, though Sealed Deck is lowest on my list, I don't need anymore of those deck boxes (Sealed pack is probablly top).
Lazy Peon sounds fun as a secondary or side tournament for a day.
I wasn't at the Tuns so I can't comment on the venue. But as for the format, I would be most interested in drafting.
I think I have had enough of Sealed Deck for now. Although if say 4 new players turned up one day, I would suggest they had their own mini tournament using this format.
As for the other 4 formats, I would like to see them all played evenly. I haven't really bought enough cards yet to play a serious constructed deck, but I'm sure plenty of other people have.
So I am most interested in Sealed Pack and Draft until I get enough cards to feel confident in building a constructed deck.
Trouble with sealed pack/draft is that we're all out of boosters for the time being.
The first event will probably be lazy peon (there aren't enough cards in the pool I think to play proper constructed). I'll get back to you with a date sometime today.

It must REALLY be popular if you've ran out of all the WoW boosters already.
Sealed deck is still fun - get a precon and 2 boosters with it. Now you just need to convince everyone to buy 3 starter decks each and have no boosters as prizes and we can run some sealed pack! Booyah!
Lazy Peon sounds good for the first one though - would test a little bit of deckbuilding skills. But with a card pool this big, shouldn't be too bad. Any ideas of costs? (wouldn't have thought more than a fiver for a constructed but I've seen worse before...)

Most of the world appears to have run out of boosters if any of the wow tcg forums are to be believed.
Any news of a date for Lazy Peon Tourney 1 yet?

The problem with lack of boosters is worldwide as far as I have been told. UDE didn't print enough in the initial run, so there was barely enough to fulfill the pre-orders for stores and no excess.
The latest news we have for now is that there is a reprint being done which will be available in December. I would advise people to make sure and pre-order if you're wanting some as the last thing any of us want is to not have enough again :)
Hope that helps clear some of this up.

Be it ever so humble, there's no place like my shop :)
Got a load from pickwicks yesterday. When do you all play wow ccg as myself and dave have decks now and fancy a game
I'm 15 and not really played much TCG's
I wanna buy the WoW TCG cards but no one that lives near me playes them (Only people i know who play them live in London.). I want to Start playing but i dunno if u have any age requirement or anything like that :P , i really wanna start to play a TCG again and WoW TCG seems the perfect one atm but lack of people to play with means i can't play and there's no point in buying the Starter deck and boosters if i can't play : /
I imagine your all like 18+ xD
Hi there sizzor.
We'll be having tournaments once or twice a month on Tuesday nights in the shop. There's no age requirement to play, and Black-Lion always welcomes younger players.
There's free play this tuesday (23rd) and a Lazy Peon tournament (No rares, no epics) the tuesday after (30th).
Hope to see you there.
Iain
prob be at the tourney on the 30th :D
if i learn how to play
Let them teach you, then the burden is completely on them ;)
I'd like to give constructed a go, purely because my funds cannot support any more sealed. :D
That being said, Sealed Deck was great banter at the first WoW release. Benefit of that is that unless you went out of your way to get all 9 types over the 2 weekends, you're likely to get something different to work with for a change.
When d'you think'd be a viable time to play casually/tournaments? You think Tuns would be better for it than Black Lion?
