The Lord of the Rings CCG and Casual play Magic all on one night at the shop. Casual Magic also has the added rewards of the Gateway tournament. Gateway gives you stamps on a card for every game you play, whether you win or lose, and once your card is full you get free Magic cards! Very simple, lots of fun. Bring along a deck of your own with cards from Time Spiral block onwards. Very good for new players.

For those who haven't taken part before, Free RPG Day is intended to get people interested in new RPG's with brand new adventures and quick start rules provided in participating gaming stores. Everyone who comes into the shop on Saturday will receive a random free item from the box of goodies sent by the organisers to us. A look at the new D+D Mini's set Against the Giants before its release! Entry is £30, the cost of the 2 boosters you construct your warband from. Each player will receive a promo Chain Golem figure and booster prize support will be provided if we get 8 players or more. Play starts at 12 noon so be here a bit before to pay your money. We are taking pre-registrations in the shop as always.

ORC celebrates 5 years since that first formal get together. Come along and help us celebrate!!! We meet and play every Saturday in Caffe Nero/EasyInternet on Rose Street, Edinburgh. People start to arrive between 12.15pm and 12:45pm with games starting at 1pm and run until 5pm. You'll find us upstairs in the seating area, just look for a collection of people with small rucksacks ;-). New faces are always welcome!

Eventide, the second part of the Shadowmoor block, is released on Friday 25th July but you know you don't want to wait until then to see the cards! So we're running a pre-release tournament on Sunday 13th July so you can get an early look at the new set. The tournament is sealed deck which means each Player will receive 1 Shadowmoor Tournament Pack and 3 Eventide Boosters with which to make a deck. The cost of the tournament is £15, the cost of the product you play with. Each player will also receive a pre-release foil card while stocks last. We're running this at the Victoria Park Hotel on Ferry Road (http://www.vphotel.co.uk/contact.htm). Sign up and payment will be from 11am and play will start at 12 noon sharp so be sure to give yourself enough time to get there and pay up. We're taking pre-registrations in the shop to ensure you a space at the tournament. All we need from you is your name and DCI number which you can get to us through e-mail, MSN, over the phone, leaving a message here or by popping into the shop. Pre-registration is HIGHLY recommended. Each pre-release participant can also take part in this offer: Pre-order and buy 1 display of Eventide boosters from Black Lion and get 6 Eventide Boosters free when you come to collect it! We'll be taking pre-orders at the event for boxes of Eventide and you'll be able to pre-order until Monday 21st July. Boxes have to be collected before Friday 8th August for the offer to be valid.
